Live country music, an auction paddle and a film crew in the room. That’s a pretty good night out.
Motors & Music was an evening in support of Not In My City, the Alberta movement that Paul Brandt and his wife Liz helped build, and it featured performances by Paul Brandt and Dallas Smith. Rocky Mountain Film Studio and LHI Productions were part of it, and LHI’s Monique Barrie, who directed Not In My City: The Paul Brandt Story, called it an evening where film and philanthropy come together.
The auction was half the fun
Auctioneer Bill Brown ran the bidding, and Barrie says he inspired the crowd. One prize she’s looking forward to is a helicopter ride to Longview Steakhouse with family, friends and Paul Brandt.
We love seeing a documentary team turn a film into something people can show up for. The LHI Productions Instagram has photos and the thank-you list, and our post on the film’s Golden Sheaf nomination covers where it went next.
