Six shows are up for Best Unscripted Series at the 2026 Rosie Awards, and one of them follows the Calgary Flames. It’s called The Chase: Inside the Calgary Flames, and the producers on the nomination list are Ryan Dittrick, Alex Clark and Brendan Parker, working through Calgary Sports & Entertainment.
It’s in good company. History in 60 and Red River Gold share the category. AMPIA’s nominees page lists all six.
Zoom out and the numbers get big. The Alberta Media Production Industries Association announced 292 nominees across 50 Class and Craft categories this year, in the 52nd year of the Rosies. That’s a lot of Albertans with a good reason to dress up.
The night itself is November 7, 2026, at the Jubilee Auditorium in Calgary. Andrew Phung, the actor, writer and producer, is hosting.
Picture that room. The Jubilee Auditorium has its own long history, and on November 7 it fills with the crews, producers and performers behind our screens. If you want the backstory on the awards, we already covered how AMPIA and the Rosies earned their swagger.
Want more local screen history first? The story of the Calgary Film Centre is a good place to start.
